BTBA Press Release - Appointments

The BTBA are delighted to announce the following appointments with effect from Monday 1 September 2014 following the recent selection process of National Council posts;

  • Director of Membership Services – Jerry Moll
  • Director of Business and Finance – Marcus Buckley Bennion
  • Head of Legal Services – Dave Steiner.

jmoll1“Balancing new faces with continuity is key to succession planning and as the BTBA continues along its path of development we will be depending on the skill and experience these guys bring to the table in their respective roles” said Chairman Ron Griffin. He added, “While Dave and Marcus are no strangers to the National Council it is important that Jerry (pictured left) picks up from where Richard Beck left off. I am sure he will bring his own ideas on how we can breathe fresh life into the wider membership issues and how we can address some of the challenges that have hindered growth in recent times”.

The Chairman also paid tribute to the work of Richard Beck who during his term of office has worked very hard behind the scenes to support the change programme.

Meanwhile following the news of his appointment Jerry said, “I am very pleased to be appointed as the BTBA's Director of Membership Services at this exciting time.  Much has been achieved by the BTBA over the past twelve months, such as the new online membership joining system, the availability of financial grants for Area Associations and the establishment of three Regional Offices and a Communications Manager, together with the introduction of the regular "Inside Line" newsletter.  I am looking forward to working with my National Council colleagues to capitalise on these solid foundations and further improve what the BTBA has to offer.”

Dave Steiner also commented on his being retained as Head of Legal Services "I am pleased to have the opportunity to continue representing the membership and assisting with all the changes in the Association, particularly in these financially difficult times, that will allow us to produce a Sport's governing body fit for the future."

The new shape National Council are meeting on 6 September as they lay out their plans for the year ahead and you can keep up to date with their progress and obtain an insight into Jerry’s ideas going forward in the monthly BTBA ‘Inside Line’ publication.
