Sports Equity Policy Statement

The British Tenpin Bowling Association aims to ensure that all people, irrespective of their age, colour, disability, ethnic origin, gender, marital status, nationality, race, sexual or social status have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in the sport of Tenpin Bowling at all levels and in all roles.  That is a beginner, participant or performer, and as an Instructor/Coach, Manager, Administrator or Official.

It is the aim
of the British Tenpin Bowling Association to ensure that all present and potential members/employees of the British Tenpin Bowling Association receive fair and equal treatment.

It is the aim
of the British Tenpin Bowling Association to provide all its services in a way that is fair to every member of the Association.

It is the aim
of the British Tenpin Bowling Association, in its relationship with its members/employees and its provision not to disadvantage any individual by imposing any condition or requirement which cannot be justified.

In persuance of this policy
, the British Tenpin Bowling Association, may take special measures or positive action for any group which is currently, under represented, in its membership, represented bodies or workforce, taking account of the Equal Pay Action (1970), Race Relations Act (1976), Sex Discrimination Act (1975, 1986), Disability Discrimination Act (1995).

In persuance of this policy, the British Tenpin Bowling Association reserves the right to discipline any members/employees of the British Tenpin Bowling Association who practice any forms of discrimination on the grounds of age, colour, disability, ethnic origin, gender, marital status, nationality, race, sexual or social status.

The British Tenpn Bowling Association will monitor and evaluate this policy on an ongoing basis and will inform the members/employees of its impact.
