BTBA Tour Event 1 - Cancellation

It is with regret that the first BTBA Tour event of the year has been cancelled. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure a venue or tournament manager for this event. We apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused with regards to planning and we will endeavor to update you on future events as soon as possible.

The first round for the adult tour will now be the National Championships in Nottingham, held on the weekends of 12/13 and 19/20 of March. The second round will be held at Shipley over the weekend of the 9/10 April.


Senior Team England Announced

The BTBA and Senior Team England are pleased to announce the Senior Teams to represent England at the Senior Triple Crown and European Senior Bowling Championships in Denmark are:


2016 Adult Team England Wild Card Picks

BTBA Head of Elite, Jo Cundy is delighted to announce the 'Wild Card' selections for the 2016 Adult Squad:

"The Team England selectors met recently and discussed the Wild Card selections to decide on the two male and female bowlers that will be added to the top 10 from last year’s Team England Trials to complete the Team England squads that will form the teams to compete in 2016 events. All players that completed the trials were eligible for selection, along with bowlers who sent in an application form."


New Communications Manager Appointed

The BTBA are pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Tamblyn to the position of Communications Manager.  Helen is an experienced content writer and manages content and communication strategies.  Read more here..


New Regional Coaching Manager South

I am very happy to welcome Stuart Watson to the Senior Coaching Team in the capacity of Regional Coaching Manager (South), in place of Mark Cox who sadly had to step down from the role in December.  During the application process Stuart displayed his passion for coaching and is aligned in his thinking to the vision in our coaching strategy.

Inter-County Think Tank 2015

New Head Office Address

During the annual Christmas holidays, the BTBA Head Office successfully relocated to offices in Lincolnshire.  The new address for all correspondence is now 39 Eventus, Sunderland Rd, Market Deeping, Lincs., PE6 8FD.  Full details can be found by following the 'CONTACT US' menu at the top of the website.

BTBA Launch New Coaching Website

I am delighted to announce that the coaching section of the website is now fully updated and significantly expanded to include all the information you need as a coach or prospective coach, or maybe as a parent or bowler wishing to check the credentials of your coach.
You will find lists of all coaches who are “Transitioned” or have completed training in one of the new qualifications under the COACHES tab.  Under the QUALIFICATIONS tab you will find everything you need to know about our qualifications, the coaching pathway, and how you get qualified, move to the next stage or get licensed.
