Alan Jones

The BTBA was saddened to learn of the passing of Alan Jones, who for many years was the Local Association Secretary for Nottinghamshire,  as well as being well known for his untiring work at the Junior National Championships.  He was a familiar and much respected face at local tournaments and will be much missed  by the bowling community.  We offer our sincere condolences to his family and long term partner, Lynn Overton.

Jerry Moll to Support Chairman's Office

BTBA Chairman Ron Griffin writes:
“At a time when we are trying to change so many things it is proving increasingly difficult to keep everyone focussed and everything moving in the same direction. I have therefore asked Jerry Moll to move across from his current role into the Office of the Chairman.
"In this newly formed position Jerry will provide me with support for all the transformation activities and projects that we have underway. This is an exciting and challenging area that will help us to focus our attention on the highest priority items affecting the services we provide to our membership.
"In order to maintain the momentum of the Membership Services team I will be making an interim appointment to the Executive Council just as quickly as I can. In the meantime please join me in thanking Jerry for the hard work that he has done within Membership Services and wish him well in his new role”
