Katie Tagg is Junior Sportswoman for 2015

After a stunning year on the junior bowling circuit where she won her first National titles and JTE event title, tops the U18 girls’ rankings and qualified for her Country at the Junior Triple Crown for the fourth consecutive year,  17 year old Katie Tagg from Melton Mowbray  was recognised for her achievements by her local community.   At the Melton Times Sports award held on June 25th Katie was presented with the Junior Sportswomen of the Year award, beating national champions in Equestrian and Cycling.  Congratulations Katie from the BTBA.

Lincoln Bowl Combination Fours 2015

Lincoln Bowl Combination Fours Update

The Lincoln Bowl Combination Fours, a BTBA Adult Tour event takes place at Lincoln Bowl on June 27 & 28th.  The squad listing and oil pattern have now been published.  Tournament manager Andi Turner advises that there are still places available in both squads if you would like to contact him at your earliest opportunity.  Please click for Squad List and for the Oil Pattern.

The 10th English Open

We are very happy to say that the TENTH edition of the English Open will hosted by Stroud Bowl. The PTBC met with the Stroud team recently, and came away recognising their commitment to the sport as paramount to the success of events such as the English Open. Their recent investment in a Kegel FLEX lane machine has highlighted Stroud as a sport centre, and it is has allowed them to offer some of the best lane conditions in the country. Additional details are expected to be released over the coming days and weeks.
